of the Yamaha SY77 soundbanks contain prefix in the voice name which
indicates the type of voice. These prefixes are explained here:SP = SYNTH PAD - Sustaining synth sounds for holding chords
SC = SYNTH COMPING - Decaying synth sound with some shape
SL = SYNTH LEAD - Synthesizer sound for lead
AP = ACOUSTIC PIANO - Any sound ressembling an acoustic piano
EP = ELECTRIC PIANO - Any sound ressembling an electric piano
OR = ORGANS - All organs/organ-like synth sounds
KY = KEYBOARDS - Any other keyboard instruments
BR = BRASS - Sounds ressembling brass including synth sounds
ST = STRINGS - Sounds ressembling strings including synth sounds
WN = WIND - Wind instruments and sounds alikes
BA = BASS - All bass or suitable bass sounds
CH = CHOIR - Vocal like sounds of any shape
PL = PLUCKED - Guitars & plucked instruments, sharp decay synth
PC = PERCUSSION - All percussions instruments + synth
DR = DRUM KIT - Using drum mode on the synth
ME = MUSICAL EFFECT - Sound effects, but playable sounds
SE = SOUND EFFECT - Untuned sound effect
KS = KEYBOARD SPLIT - Split keyboard voices
CT = CONTROLLERS - Where controller is essential for sound
