SPECIAL NOTES (as published on the floppy disk booklet): this disk contains TWO files. The first file is a set of 64 voices originally designed for the SY77 as a "Best of" selection from sources all around Europe. The second file is a more recent un-released selection of mixed sounds. All the voices in both files have been carefully checked and edited for useful SY controller mapping, quality, and creativity. The programs have been named using Yamaha's recent convention, which helps to define the basic nature of the sound with a two letter prefix. The range of sounds included are all very current and modern with lots of interesting pads and effects. Both files will cater for popular uses of the SY77 and extensively explore new ground.

The resources for this set of voices come from musicians and Yamaha consultants ycross Europe - the set was compiled and edited at the Yamaha R&D Centre, London by Gerd Fuehrs, Dave Bristow and Ken Campbell.

The prefix in the voice name indicates the type of voice and is explained in the table below (Note that "LYvol" marked in the controller column of the performance notes means the volume of a layered sound - this could be a pad or looped effect or bells, etc...)
